Kindergarteners read the book Rainbow Fish to the Rescue! by Marcus Pfister. Then, they created their own rainbow fish by using a website called TimTim (http://www.timtim.com/coloring/drawing/). This activity helped the kindergarteners develop fine motor skills. It also allowed them to practice typing and navigating the computer. We had a lot of fun!
Here are some of our Rainbow Fish:

Day lab

As a follow up lesson to Snowflake Bentley 2nd grade learned how to make polaroid transfers. Using the day lab we projected a slide onto polaroid film. It didn't turn out the greatest but we at least learned the process and got to look at some old brownie cameras too! We learned how photos are not always digital just like when Snowflake Bentley made them!

Brown School Library Wiki
The Brown School Library now has a wiki! A wiki is a webpage that can be updated and edited by any of its members. Students use this online space to post projects and collaborate. The wiki will also be a place to find out the latest news about the library and what is happening in each class.
