Kindergarteners learned about the author Tomie de Paola and how his heritage influences his stories. Then, we read Strega Nona, a famous Italian story by Tomie de Paola. We also reviewed the different parts of a book and created our own book covers by using Kerpoof.

Character Traits - First Grade

First graders learned how to identify character traits in a story. Then, they wrote down character traits to describe themselves. Finally, they used a website called Kerpoof to write a complete sentence using one of their character traits.

In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday the 2nd grade read " Green Eggs and Ham" afterwards they were asked to think of something that they thought they didn't like, and then tried it and ended up liking it. We then went to artpad.art.com to use word processing and paint tools to design a page about our discussion.
